Camp Good News Kauai has been sharing the good news of the Bible with the youth of Kauai and providing them an overnight camp experience since 1985. The camp environment provides youth with the opportunity to build friendships with their peers, receive mentoring from their counselors, and expand their relationship with GOD.

FAQs

What ages are your campers?

Campers are between 7 and 12 years old.

Are cabins assigned? Can my child be with his/her friend?

You can request a cabin mate for your child on their registration. We make every effort to honor these requests.

How many Campers are in each cabin? How many Counselors are with them?

Campers live in cabins in groups of 5-10, divided by age and gender. The boys and girls take up residence in separate cabins, though they share the dining, activity and program areas. Each cabin has 2 Counselors or 1 Counselor with a Junior Counselor.

How will my child keep track of his or her belongings?

All belongings including clothing must be marked with your child’s name. Clothing should be labeled with a black magic marker or a sewn-in label — including socks and underwear. Counselors do their best to help campers keep track of their things; however, camp does not assume responsibility for lost or stolen items. Do not bring any valuables or electronics (phones, games, MP-3 players, etc).

Are cell phones allowed?

No. Please leave cell phones and other personal electronics at home.

What are your registration deadlines?

Camp Good News Kauai books up completely every year. Registration is first come, first served. All fees are due with registration. Do not wait until the first day of camp to register or pay, as there will be no space available.

What is your refund policy?

There is no refund if a child withdraws or is dismissed.

Does my child need spending money at camp?

Money is deposited in the camp store for each Camper; a suggested amount is $10-$20 for the week. This is primarily used for snacks and drinks.

What if my child has a medical condition?

Let us know in writing on the registration form and when you check in.

What if my child is allergic to a particular type of food?

Let us know in writing on the registration form and when you check in.
